Have u heard about the buddah bar? They allow to take pics with the statues.
I do also believe Buddha statues has an artistic value to some people and there is nothing wrong with that.
I saw some people said things like "It's just a clay statue...", well if u put it that way, you could also piss on some country's flag publicly and say "It's just a piece of cloth"
