Acclaimed Sri Lankan artiste Dushyanth Weeraman opened for T-Pain, renowned American rapper and song writer on Saturday February 19, 2011 at the Arena of the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, California, US.

Since the release of his debut album, T-Pain has produced numerous hits of his own and for other rappers and R&B singers. In 2008, he won a Grammy with rapper Kanye West for the single "Good Life". In 2010, he won another Grammy with Jamie Foxx for the single "Blame It".

His latest hit "Take Your Shirt Off" was the sound track for the movie Step Up 3.

The February 19 concert titled WINTER JAM 2011 featured performances T-PAIN (main feature), E40, WAKA FLOCKA FLAME, TOO SHORT, YG, BOBBY BRACKINS and BASICALI
"I was well received by the Americans and had them off their seats from the start," recalls Dushyanth of the concert. "It was an amazing experience to have performed on an International stage like that surrounded by High Tech crew, equipment and such a responsive, energetic audience. One thing I enjoyed most was the support from the audience. Being on a foreign stage surrounded by an unknown crowd I was some what scared (not at all nervous) of how they would react to me. But it was cool when I saw some Blonde girls getting off their seat as soon as the first chord was played" he smiled.

"This clearly was an unforgettable experience for me and I'm sure there's more to come thanks to my friend Mr.Shehan Rajaratnam. Who gave me this opportunity after meeting me last year in USA. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Mr.Rajaratnam for believing in me. Also I sincerely want to thank Mr. Chandran Rutnam and Mr. Jayam Rutnam for giving me the opportunity to be on US soil for the first time. I would like to thank US Counsel General of Sri Lanka Mr. Jeff Gunawardena for his presence at the concert in giving me the Sri Lankan support. Also I want to thank all my friends in USA for supporting me in the past few months. This is just the start my friends. You ain't seen nothing yet!"

Mr. Rajaratnam said, "My hunt for talent from Sri Lanka was easy as a mere coincidence in meeting Dushyanth Weeraman during his last performance in Los Angeles. Seeing Dushyanth's inspired talents of Michael Jackson, he is clearly a multi-talented ORIGINAL musician in his own right. This is sadly the only point lot of people missed, but his greatest strength. On the same tone, I believe he is probably the only Sri Lankan artiste with the capabilities of launching internationally at this point. He is a great singer, brilliant dancer and an amazing entertainer, he is a full package. I hope this will lead to discovering many more talented Sri Lankans in the future."
