EVGA 550 ti - power supply advice

I'm planning to buy the EVGA GTX 550 ti card -

I have a core i5 setup, but the Power supply is a normal 450W thing which was bought for a 1500.00

nvidia specifications says the card needs 400w PSU. is there anyone running this card here with the normal PSUs? or will i need to get a branded PSU?

bro you need to got for atleast a 450W coolmaster, or asus or some other good brand psu, ur 1500 psu will fry ur stuff

just check rosewill,evga and coolermaster, chk at unity

i assembled i7 with 650W PSU (its bcz of gtx 460) 450W is nt enuf.

it will cost another rs.8000 to rs.10,000, its better to go for a higher wattage psu, just chk the prices...

Ya , but the cooler master has only 1 year warranty, And the feedback for it is very low. Antec is 6k, but has 2 year warranty and runs great with my setup. Got it from redline in MC.

Antec uses Japanese Caps while Cooler Master uses Chinese Caps thats the reason the price is low.
