these rules dont apply for old packages,. I called SLT and they told me the same but then i informed TRC and they fixed everything, i used about 80GB monthly and everything seems normal and TRC calls almost every week now to ask about the net speeds and all

Ask them the meaning of UNLIMITED and say u need 45GB for a month and tell you never going to change Your connection how they need if they gave the connection before u need what u ask and pay for.

I have a unlimited connection up to 50 GB per month

rules are there for the new packages
not for the old Home Package

machan get your package upgraded there is a new package called web family where you get 25gb per month and download speeds upto max 8mbps min 2mbps and the monthly cost is cheaper than the home package its 1400 per month

so you've eat the carrot. lol. now you can't do anything.

it's ture old unlimited customers are paying extra money. but its unlimited SLT can't restrict them. if they do, it's against the service agreement. all you have to do it keep eye on your line condition. if they limit your line just give a call to TRC & make a complain. that's it!

lol I did already. Told them I could sue them for 'false advertising'. Oh well hope something will be done about it.

yeah one time.. this guy said that you could use it without any restrictions for 3 months... but if you exceed on the fourth month... the speed will be slow.

Yestarday my download speed dropped to 3kbps .....

I called SLT about this this is what they told me,

If you have Unlimited Download connection (I have 512kbps)
When you reach 20GB per month your download speed will be slow like 58kb to 3kB. and this is due to government regulations lu

I just used up my 20GB in 10 days

මොන 20gb ද බං මගේ ගිය මාසෙ 7gb පනින කොටම මේ alt adsl ප* ඩයල් අප් ස්පීඩ්, මේ මාසේ 1 වෙනිදා ඉඳන්මත් එහෙමයි ඔය slt ධාතු සුනඛයො බොරු කියන්නේ. උන්ට එහෙම slow කරන්න රජයන් අවසරදීලා නෑ. ඔය slt වේ* ගේ පුතා ලා හදන්නේ අපිට 512kbps unlimited ලයින් එපා කරවලා අනිත් ලයින් වලට බලෙන් මාරු කරවන්න.

25GB is not enough machan....
specially when you get that kinda speed it would be over within three four days....
