I see athiesm as another extremism and a belief , the belief in non existance of deities itself !

A lunatic blinded with religious myths and beliefs who's killing in the name of god as well as an Athiest who rejects everything other than he see are two extremes of a same variable
Neither one of them has 100% evidence what he is believing in !

Atheism is the negation of theism. True, atheists believe that God does not exists. However, atheism is not based on faith. Question of God is a yes or no question, and there is nothing wrong with saying either "yes" or "no". Atheism does not count as extremism, neither does theism. Extremism has to do with your behaviour not with your philosophical positions. Some theists and some atheists may be extremists, but that does not mean theism or atheism themselves are extremes.

Einstein clashed with the great
Danish physicist Niels Bohr over
the nature of the universe.
Einstein constantly challenged
Bohr over the implications of
quantum mechanics, specially the Uncertainty Principle by Heisenberg. He said that "God
does not play dice with the universe", meaning
that nothing would be left to
chance in the universe. To which
Neils Bohr replied: "Einstein,
stop telling God what to do with
his dice."

How come there are so many kinds of fruits , and all of them come in sizes that are enough to feed a person or a family ? If fruits were just a coincidential outcome of nature , why weren’t at least some of them the size of mountains , or why weren’t they as hard as metals ? Doesn’t it seem that some Being made them the way they are for our own comfort ? :)

Why did God make coconut trees so tall and their shell so hard to crack? Is that for our comfort?

How come there are some things on our planet seem that they are especially designed for us ? For example. The 2 most comfortable colors are blue and green which happen to be the color of the sky and most of the nature around us. Who chose those colors to be there , before earth even existed ?

Ever thought that they are comfortable BECAUSE they are the colors of nature?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Why are there so many things on our planet that are NOT 'especially designed' for us?

    Like viruses, tsunamis, predators, deserts?

Why do we have appendices and foreskins? Were those mistakes of the great Creator?

The big bang theory is impossible. this is because scientists believe that the whole universe started with a bang. I will tell you how this is impossible. Ok, before the big bang there was nothing. So what exploded? you can get anything from nothing. imagine 0 x 0, what do you get? the answer is zero no matter what you multiply zero by you will always get zero. You cant explode nothing.

You ignorant fool. Before the Big Bang all matter in the universe was compressed in to a hot dense state. It was this compressed matter that exploded.

What was there before this state? There is nothing we can say with proof.

I could say that this hot dense ball came out of the arse of a fairy who had 12 legs and 13 heads, but I can't prove that to anyone.

Just like you can't prove the existence of Allah

All right guys, aside from inane pics taken from the internet, let's try to :lol:have a real conversation here. This looks like a good thread to participate in, aside from the 99% of jingoistic horseshit in this site

I've seen the behavior of a lot of Buddhists out there, culturally, I could be considered as one. My parents were, so by default people assume that I am. But..... nah I don't identify with any religion. I've had a "spiritual but not religious" phase, but I'm having doubts about that too.

I've seen the Buddhist approach for spirituality ( in Sri Lanka) and honestly, it's just as same as good ol' god worship !. People go to a temple, recite some sutras, hoping that "It will make their lives better" or "will have more fortunate circumstances". For me, this is plain old god worship. You just substitute the worship of "Siddhartha", hoping that by paying reverence to him your life will flow smoothly. You know what? you don't know what will happen. All that "gaatha" is there for you to make yourself feel better .
