Premier hospitalized

Mar 31 (DM) Prime Minister D.M.Jayaratne was admitted to the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital in the last evening, and he is now receiving treatment at the Preliminary Care Unit (PCU) of the hospital. According to hospital sources, the Prime Minister is due to be transferred to the Intensive Care Unit for further treatment. Hospital Director Dr. Chandra Goonetilleke was not available for comment.
