How To Root Xperia 2011 Devices with stock ICS Firmware 4.1.A.0.562



Sony has started rolling out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for its 2011 Xperia smartphones. Currently upgrade is available for Sony Xperia Arc S, Xperia Neo V and Xperia Ray . Update for rest of the 2011 Xperia devices will be rolled out in May/June.

Here is the simple guide to ROOT Xperia device with Stock ICS firmware 4.1.A.0.562.If you have no idea on what rooting is, here is a brief description for you:

Requirements

• Xperia Device (Arc S, NeoV, Ray) with stock ICS firmware 4.1.A.0.562

• ADB Drivers installed ( Android SDK)

• Rooting package

Procedure
1. Download Rooting package

2. Extract the contents using winrar or zip

3. Connect your phone to PC

4. Double click on runme.bat and follow the onscreen instructions

5. Sit back and relax,the device will reboot a couple of times

6. Enjoy your Xperia Device is Rooted!

Disclaimer: Flashing your mobile is at your own risk and i would be in no way responsible for any damage, just follow the steps carefully

Note: This tutorial does not require you to root your handset and it does not require you to unlock your bootloader.

Procedure:
1. Install PC Companion or Update Service and make sure that you connect your device to the PC and install necessary USB and ADB drivers.

2. Enable USB debugging on your handset (Menu –> Settings –> Applications –> Development –> Tick mark ‘USB debugging’)

3. Download and install Flashtool.Download Update ,extract and replace all contents of the zip file to the flashtool folder ( C:/ drive> flashtool).

4. Launch Flashtool and the log window should show that you are using ‘Flashtool Version 0.7.0.0 built on 2012-04-14 11:34:01.

5. Download the offical Nordic ICS Xperia™ Ray Rom

6. Unzip the downloaded file and copy .FTF file(ST18i_4.1.A.0.562_(1252-5332).ftf), paste it to” C:\Flashtool\firmwares” folder


7. Launch Flashtool application and click Flash( lightning symbol) and select Flashmode and click OK.

8. Select your firmware name on the left box. On the right side mark the following ‘Wipe User Data’, ‘Wipe Cache’ and ‘No Final Verification Check’ as shown below and select ok.

9. Wait for the software to prepare and it will ask you to connect your mobile, follow the steps carefully and connect

10. The flashing process should now start.Once flashing finishes, it would ask you to disconnect your mobile and restart.It may take several minutes to restart. Congratulations, your Sony Xperia™ Ray should now be running Ice Cream Sandwich!

phone ඒක අලුත් කියල ෂුවර් ද? අලුත් නම් කාගෙවත් account එකක් තියෙන්නේ විදියක් නැනේ

ඔව් බං එකතමයි ප්‍රශ්නෙ. මෙක brand new එකක්. Abance එකෙන් ගතෙ. මුන්ගාව stock නැතුව, import කරනකම් මට සති දෙක තුනක් ඉන්නත් උනා. ඉතින් බං මම ඉසරල බලදින් මෙහෙම Google account එක්කට configure වෙලා තිබෙ නෑනෙ. මම Dialog WiFi network එකට connect වෙන්නගියා. එක disconnect උනා. ඊටපසෙ FB එකට 3G වලින් connect වෙලා ටික වෙලාවකින් මෙහෙම උන්නෙ. මම අර email address එකෙ mail check කරා. එක use කරන එකක් නම් නෙවෙ වගෙ, unread messages ම 2,000ක් විතර තිබ්බ.
