Q: Why did you enter the pageant and why do you think you should win the title?

I wanted to fulfill my childhood dream of winning this pageant, and I should win it because I feel I am prepared and privileged to have lived in this country. I feel that through this pageant I can help my country better.

Q: Your biggest achievement so far?

I got selected to study medicine and I'm very happy about that. I feel that has been my biggest achievement so far.

Q: What quality do you most like about yourself?

I think I’m a good listener. I believe there’s an important story in every person whether rich or poor. I don’t believe in having a role model because if you listen well, you can learn so much from everybody.

Q: What are your plans for after the pageant?

I want to continue my studies in cardiology of course and if I win, I would use the opportunity to help and project Sri Lanka through myself.

Q: If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be?

    Smart.

Q: Why did you enter the pageant and why do you think you should win the title?

I have been modelling part time for a long time now and I am interested in many fashion areas. I have always wanted to represent my country and I believe I have the capability and confidence needed to win the title.

Q: Your biggest achievement so far?

I would say being selected for this title from among 30 other girls has been my biggest achievement so far. It has made my dreams come true.

Q: What quality do you most like about yourself?

I would say I’m courageous and confident to do anything. I never give up and I always try my level best with anything.

Q: What are your plans for after the pageant?

I am currently studying business management at ACBT, so I would like to complete my degree. One of my dreams has always been to become an entrepreneur and one day a fashion icon.

Q: If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be?

    Simple.

Q: Why did you enter the pageant and why do you think you should win the title?

I think this is a great experience for me, I wanted to change my life and learn more, and this is a great opportunity for me to do it.

Q: Your biggest achievement so far?

I don’t think I’ve reached that point in my life, nothing big has really happened. I still have a long way to go.

Q: What quality do you most like about yourself?

I like to make other people happy. I think that it’s really something great if you can make someone else happy and smile.

Q: What are your plans for after the pageant?

I am studying CIMA so I would definitely continue that, it would be hard to balance studies with my duties if I win the crown but I would continue it somehow.

Q: If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be?

    Fun.

Q: Why did you enter the pageant and why do you think you should win the title?

This is a big opportunity for me and I feel I could win this title. You need to be in a good place, body and mind, for this. I believe I can make a difference through this competition if I won.

Q: Your biggest achievement so far?

My biggest achievement will happen on the 22nd when I win! So it’s still coming for me.

Q: What quality do you most like about yourself?

To be honest, I think my best quality is that I’m down to earth.

Q: What are your plans for after the pageant?

Well If I win I’ll be busy with my duties as Miss Universe Sri Lanka, but if I don’t, then I’ll be happy with my life and what’s been achieved so far.

Q: If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be?

    Honest.

Q: Why did you enter the pageant and why do you think you should win the title?

This is my first pageant so it’s a very new experience for me. For me, it’s about getting more exposure and helping society, not about getting the fame.

Q: Your biggest achievement so far?

It would be gaining more self confidence through this pageant, as before I wasn’t so sure of myself. I have learnt a lot through this pageant and met many people. It’s helped me view society from a different perspective. It’s a good opportunity for me to build a career.

Q: What quality do you most like about yourself?

I am very forward with people.

Q: What are your plans for after the pageant?

I wouldn’t say modelling; I would prefer to focus on my career and study.

Q: If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be?

    Attractive.

Q: Why did you enter the pageant and why do you think you should win the title?

I believe this was rooted in me while I was studying in the USA. I drew a lot of attention with my looks and figure, and was approached by many fashion scouts to take part in fashion week. I feel like I became an ambassador for Sri Lanka because people would always ask where I came from, and I would then talk about Sri Lanka and our amazing culture. So I decided to enter because I feel I can represent not just Sri Lanka but the Miss Universe organization well with my experience; and help to sustain our culture and raise Sri Lanka to an international platform. I’m very excited!

Q: Your biggest achievement so far?

There’s too many to pick just one.

Q: What quality do you most like about yourself?

My perseverance, I always give everything 200%. I will try to do more than is required and see it to the end. So that helps me with keeping people educated about Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka women.

Q: What are your plans for after the pageant?

When I win, I plan to help draw attention to sustaining our beautiful culture and help the development of youth in this country.

Q: If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be?

    Diverse.

Q: Why did you enter the pageant and why do you think you should win the title?

This is a good opportunity for me to gain the experience that I will need. I have taken part in pageants before and I am proud of myself for getting this far. Representing my country has always been a dream of mine and winning this will mean being able to perform social work for kids, which is a strong passion for me.

Q: Your biggest achievement so far?

This pageant will help me with another target I have in two years, so I believe once that’s complete it will be my biggest achievement.

Q: What quality do you most like about yourself?

I can’t pick just one.. I’m honest and a good listener. I like to help people so I’m also straight forward and open minded with most things.

Q: What are your plans for after the pageant?

If I don’t win the crown, I would focus on my job as a fashion merchandiser and do that a 100%.

Q: If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be?

    I’m not sure…?

Q: Your biggest achievement so far?

I took part in the Best Female Model for Supermodel International contest to gain experience and I won a mini title there. It was my very first pageant so I count that as a big achievement for me.

Q: What quality do you most like about yourself?

I am always a very honest person.

Q: What are your plans for after the pageant?

I am studying Business Management at the moment so I will focus on that and continue with my modelling.

Q: Why did you enter the pageant and why do you think you should win the title?

When I was young I was always protected from the world by my parents, but then when I joined a media department in Australia, it really opened my eyes to social dilemmas in the world. I feel that I need a title to carry me forward and give a platform to pursue this passion to project social issues that need to be heard. I feel that you really need a good mix of beauty and brains to carry you forward and I plan to put Sri Lanka in the limelight and showcase this beautiful island to the world.

Q: Your biggest achievement so far?

Getting into current affairs in Australia, I was the only foreign person in that department, and I was lucky to get that opportunity. I learnt so much and was exposed to so much. It really opened my eyes to the world.

Q: What quality do you most like about yourself?

My perseverance, I don’t give up. Sometimes this pageant can be very stressful and I have felt like crying, but I won’t give up. That’s what I like about myself.

Q: What are your plans for after the pageant?

I have worked as media coordinator for the World Bank. I have completed my Masters in Media and Communication, so I would like to work in citizen journalism. Hopefully even be like Christiane Amanpour one day. That would be my dream.

Q: If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be?

    Good natured.
