The UK government has revoked London Metropolitan University's Highly Trusted Status (HTS) for sponsoring non-eu international students and now it will no longer be allowed to sponsor visas, according to the institution's website.
The move could mean more than 2,000 students being deported within 60 days unless they find another sponsor, according to the National Union of Students.
The university's vice-chancellor, Malcolm Gillies has predicted a £30 million financial loss to the university.
The University has set up a Help Centre to support and advise students.
