Sabaragamuwa Province Chief Minister Mahipala Herath has had urgent discussions with the police following an attack on a mosque in Kegalle early this morning.
The Kegalle Jummah mosque was stoned by an unidentified group early this morning, the police said.
According to reports some of the glass panels of the mosque were damaged during the attack.
The police have now strengthened security around the mosque.
