I have just had it with movies which feature stupid aliens! Seriously.
They can get here - to this rock, have superior intelligence and tec, but have their a**es kicked by a ragtag group of survivors who won`t stand a chance against a well-organized militia.
This movie promised much, with the opening battle scene being very impressive with the aliens sinking two destroyers and... then it goes all down hill... the (stupid) aliens let the third enemy vessel, the USS John Paul Jones get away!!! WTF, people, even Somalian Pirates wouldn`t do that if they had the advantage.
Then there was the scene where a single sniper strike completely 'blinds' the alien space/battleship. They had no backup or protection against that? Come on, are we so stupid Mr.Berg? Human beings have been using simple radar tec since the 1930`s. The aliens...?
Aliens without any sort of a hand-held sidearm, except a retractable spike!!!
Hilarious.
Humans have been inventing hand-held, projectile-firing weaponry since the Stone Age.
And then there`s all the All-American bullshit, with all their military gung-ho and cool guy gets girl-no trauma crap.
I just lost 02 hours and 11 minutes of my life.
If you love yourself, please don`t watch this.
