I hv tried the solutions regarding this thread

Make sure the services related to system restore are started and set to automatic, to do this, follow the steps below:
Services related to System Restore are:

    - Volume shadow copy
    - Multimedia Class Scheduler
    - Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
    - DCOM Server Process Launcher
    - Plug and Play.

Follow the instructions below and set all of the above services to Automatic.

    a. Click the Start button, and in the search box type in: Services.
    b. Press 'Enter' to open Services window.
    c. Find related services that are listed above, and check the Status (started) and Startup Type (automatic).
    d. Double click the service to change the status to started and set startup type to Automatic.

Try restoring your laptop afterwards using System Restore.

Anything that you recently installed or changed before it happened? Did you change anything over MSCONFIG?

    No 2 both questions.
But I istalled da latest Nvidea driver after this happened, cuz it was a solution suggested in some forum which i googled.

Is volume shadow copy service enabled and running? Check in services. Also, boot into safe mode and try system restore there.

    1. Boot into Windows 7 Disk

    2. The language, keyboard setting screen will pop-up. Just click Next.

    3. Click on the Repair your computer link on the bottom-left of the Install Windows window.

    4. You'll get a screen as shown below. You don't need to do anything here but wait. This Windows installation search shouldn't take more than a few minutes at most.

    5. Choose the Windows 7 installation that you'd like to perform the Startup Repair on. Click the Next button.

    6. On this screen, first try 'System Restore' if it works, if it doesn't, select 'Startup Repair'.

    7. The Startup Repair tool will now search for problems with files that are important to the proper functioning of Windows 7.

    8. Follow instructions and wait until process is complete.
