Piracy is a crime and it's just stealing.
Now the situation is a little better as now we have cable tv.
We dont have to download or buy pirate movie DVDs.
We can pay the cable TV service provider and watch the movie.
But, the situation for music/ MP3 is still the same.
Downloading a song is wrong.
The owner of the song is not getting a single rupee.
But, if we want to buy it, we have to spend in thousands.
So, people keep on downloading.
This happened to windows.
Initially the windows original version was very very expensive.
So, very little people bought that.
Then the prize came down to a level, (about 15000 LKR) which is affordable
for our/ asian population.
If same thing would happen to songs/ mp3s produced locally,
people will start buying that, rather than downloading it from different sources.

Downloading and installing cracked versions software's is something that product sellers cannot do anymore. Everyone looks for originality. Things change, they should've known. Serves them right.
