why no post general information here instead of PMing

Initially it seems like a issue why we can't do a general explanation. Thing is this.. If I have worked there, liked the place and got paid.. I cannot share all the information about the company for everyone in a public forum.. That is not very ethical or fair.

On the other hand this guy seems to have been interviewed and got selected to work there. So he needs sensitive info to make a decision.. that is why I asked to PM me :P

That's why i said general info mate ;)
you don't have to share all the information about the company for every in a public forum ;) A generalized comment would be more than enough (eg : - Good place, have to work hard but they pay well, for more info PM me )

That may help someone else in future by referring to this thread :D

Orrrkieee here we go then.. Let's say like this.

It is lead by a very able leader. Basically in to the latest technologies..
Salaries in the beginning won't be the best.. However now it is moderate..
    Managers are paid well.

They always get the best projects and tenders in good or bad way(u knw what I mean :) ).. Last few years there were some drawbacks for the general staff but not for the project staff. Means very low or no increments were given.

Working environment is calm.. They do not fire people after recruiting. It is like family. Hard part is leaving, coz getting a service letter is much harder than getting the appointment letter. They hardly give the service letter.
Also 'Bonapaats' are given priority when recruiting... They even have a bar(yeah a real one) inside the office.

8:00 to 5:00 working including a halfday on saturdays. Project office employees(who are stationed in other companies). usually do not work in weekends.

You can pursue higher studies very easily while working here. They do not push you or kill you with work.

Usually they recruit people from SLIIT for project staff. Rearly from government uni's. That's because of the salary issues. Don't know whether that has changed now.

Summary: Family like place to work. Moderate salary+less increments.

Hard to exit- You need a service letter for most of the things in life.. e.g. migration

Dress Code: Formal( No t-shirts or denims :p)

One of the best places to Study while working(M.Sc, MBA, etc)

P.S:- SLT black list thing is not a big deal.. Still the JIT project office is situated inside SLT HO for billing support :P. JIT won the IP TV law suit and SLT guys went mad and black listed it. Heard that SLT is paying the held money now according to the judgment.
