What's the best bank to start a saving account?

    Guys,
    I need a help. What Bank do you think is most suitable to start a savings account. What I meant by most suitable is a stable, most secure and paying a comparably higher interest.

    U gonna open a saving account considering interest rate? U shud consider interest rate only whn U gonna hv a fd.if u gonna hv salary thn see which bank online salary system they use if for ur personnel use just open wth d bank u hv easiest access.relativly high no f atm "s .commercial samp boc hnb for me in order:D

    Thanks a lot for info, It's very informative. I heard NSB is more secure and offers somewhat better interest rates. What do you think?

    Why u hv a savings acc? To withdraw money at emergency. Then does it support eth branch n atm netwrk?

    purpose of SAVINGS a/c to withdraw money ?

    Machan start at least 2 accounts. Preferably one with you have easier access, and even better, w/o ATM charges and keep some small money for your regular expenses (I usually keep ~100k, almost 3 months of my expenses -- I'm single).

    Start another account (Sampath Hit Saver, NDB Wardana, etc) that have better interest rates. FDs are not so good these days (10% as opposed to ~7-8% offered to regular savings).
