SLIIT eken dena Curtin University eke Engineering karana kattiya innawada?:dull: (mehe awurudu 4ma complete karana,a nathath kamak na)

මචං SLIIT එකේ curting engineering degree එක ඇවිත් bachelor of engineering( BEng), එහෙම නැතුව ලංකාවේ මොරටුව, පේරාදෙණි දෙනවා වගේ bachelor of Since(BSc in Engneering) නෙමේ. එත් මේක 4 year එක නිසා ලොකු ප්‍රශ්නයක් වෙන්නේ නැහැ. අනිත් එක මේක ඉවර වෙලා කෙලින්ම MSc එකක් කරන්නත් පුළුවන්. මේක final certificate එක දෙන්නේ curtin වලින්. ලංකාවේ ඉදල මේක complete කරත් Aussie(Australia) ගිහින් මේක complete කලත් දෙන්නේ එකම certificate එක.

Australia වල Perth වල තමා මේ campus එක තියන්නේ. campus එකේ car park එක මුළු sliit එකටත් වැඩිය ලොකුයි. car park එකක් නෙමේ 10 ක් විතර තියෙනව.ඉතින් හිතා ගනින්කෝ campus එකේ ප්‍රමාණය. curtin campus එක Aussie වල rank එක ඇවිත් 12 විතර එත් world rank එක ඇවිත් 300 වගේ. :yes:

මුලින්ම curtin university එකේ එක engineering degree එකයි sliit එකේ තිබ්බේ. ඒ තමා BEng in Computer Systems Engineering (CSE). දැන් නම් ගොඩක් තියෙනවා. CSE එකේ උනේ first 2 years අපි sliit එකෙන් දෙන electronic engineering diploma එක ගන්න ඕනි. ඒ කිව්වේ first 2 years අපි sliit එකෙන් හදපු syllabus එක ඉගෙන ගන්න ඕනි. 2 years complete උනාට පස්සේ ඊලග 2 years වලට aussie යන්න පුළුවන්, එහෙම 2 years study ගියාම 2 years work permit එකක් දෙනවා.. එතකොට ඔක්කොම aussie වල අවරුදු 4කට visa හදාගෙන යන්න පුළුවන්. එහෙම නැත්තම් ඊලග 2 years මෙහෙ ඉදල complete කරන්න පුළුවන්..

කියන්න නම් විස්තර ගොඩයි. type කරන්න කම්මැලි බන් PM එකක් දාපන් ​

[Machan I will type in English as I don't have Sinhala fonts and it takes me long time to type in singlish)

I live in Australia but I don't know about their engineering syllabus or if they give you practical or industrial training. But Curtin uni is well reputed as far as I know.
I studied Civil at a NZ uni and I would assume it would about the same in Aus and we were not given any practical training. We had to apply and find summer work as part of our practical work requirement (Which I didn't do coz job market was fkd and the uni decided to write that condition off just for our batch and the junior batch just so that we could get our degree certificate).

we had 2 semesters a year (1semister is about 12-13 wks) so basically uni only go for about 25 weeks in total including exam weeks. (we had 2 weeks of breaks after every 2-3 months). Basically for us, start of the 1st semi was end of Feb which ran into mid July and a break of about 2 weeks. Then from early july to mid November and we had the summer break of just over 3 months.
You will find a lot of free time but it does not mean syllabus is easy. if you lag behind, you are gone. you cant study a week before the exam and sit for it unless ur a freaking genius. I found it out the hard way ;) as long as you keep your self on top of what they teach you in lectures daily you will be fine. Unlike SL unis (from what I heard) workload is pretty damn hectic.
there will be assignments and tests through out the semester. It's good in a way coz it will keep you up to date. (there is another option, if you have connections you can copy specially assignments and submit and get good marks BUT when it comes to exam time you will get raped!!) even if you have 100% for all the assignments and do shit in final exams they will fail you.. If you have to the 1st year its easy. (I left lanka few months into year 12 and straight into uni yet I found the 1year of uni to be ok) but from there onwards it depends on the effort you put it.

The best thing is to get onto their website and if you have any enquiries drop them an email. They are very helpful and in most cases they will reply you within a day or two.

hondayi thread ekak dapu eka :)

Bsc,Beng dekama bachelors degrees,but 3 years Beng dena ewa ecchara valid na,but SLIIT eke denne 4 years ekak,Beng godak practical side eka wadi,Bsc eka theory side eka wadi,dekata honda piliganimak thiyanawa eke wenasak natha.

Thank you very much machan! :yes: very helpful. im thinking about doing all 4 years in SL. Hope there won't be any difference of the degree?? (as they have to follow Curtin's aspects)

Mechanical is far more better than Mechatronics,Mechanical is an Ever Green field while Mechatronics is not,If you really intrested in Robotics then go for Mechatronics,but then SLIIT doesn't award Mechatronic degree with Curtin locally,for that you have to fly Aussie,but still have a chance to follow UGC SLIIT course,but I explained you the cons of doing that right.

yeah bro,not supposing to do local SLIIT degree. I love robotics side. If so then May I have to do Mechanical & Master Mechatronics? Is it possible :confused::confused:
