The ultimate crime drama
My ratings 8.0

I have been watching well known crime dramas like "Godfather" which made me really miss the real thing.... "City of God".
.
Records for ultimate dramas of Brazilian cinema might be short lived. But it really did sparkle glamorous set of movies that has never been matched by Hollywood or anywhere else.
.
What made such movies so special ? In my opinion, the high degree of relation to real world scenario. Just look at the pictures I have here.

I have no clue how the director handled those kids in such extreme manner !
.
"City of God" is inspired by a true story.
"Elite Squad" another Brazilian drama, directors later did a separate documentary basing the findings of their research.
.
So if someone ask me for an excellent Crime Drama. I always say
Watch "Godfather 1" first if you dont want it to look inferior.
Then look towards Beautiful Brazilian cinema.

City of God is not a majority's "Re-Watching" type. But Here I am
