Sapumal Lanka: Totally agree with Sri Lankan Blood and Champika Sampath Bandara.. I also know some IT firms and freelancers .. they said, they tend to block sites to restrict indian spammers who are begging for work (at least 10-20 emails comes from indian jobless spammers). At the moment our IT sector is doing really well and talented too but if this is allowed, thats it for Sri Lanka.. I have ever seen in freelancer sites, some companies specifially say "no indians pls" so if these fellows work here, they would hesitate to give work to Sri Lankans too..

For starters, ECTA is NOT a one way agreement... Sri Lankan IT professionals too can get lucrative jobs in American IT companies located in Indian cities such as Bangalore and Hydrabad...
Besides Theres no conclusive evidence to argue that Indians will flock in hordes to Sri Lanka, which has only a miniature IT industry compared to India, albeit a diminished currency (2.1 LKR = 1 INR), looking for Jobs, while in fact any Indian engineer whose NOT happy with their job in India naturally try to migrate to US, Canada, Austrailia ect.
Also the income of any Indian working in Sri Lanka under ECTA can be taxed by the Sri Lankan govt. and also in a free market economy this will lead to availability of Cheaper servies in Sri Lanka, which is ultimatly good for Sri Lankan economy
