Army camps are already in their lands. So 500m away is lot safe than invading land.

Army camp is not a ammunition dump. First learn the difference. Besides Jaffna and Wanni is the least populated reigons of Sri Lanka. They are so much suitable for more army camps and ammo dumps.

So are you okay with a ammunition dump as called it as your next door neighbour? Would you live with your child because its just a ammunition dump and you proud of it.

Absolutely those RPGs and Rockets not fired itself in war and they carry a target. Luckily this incident is not. And in war no one tell you to evacuate before attack.

Oh really Sri Lanka army asked people to evacuate before the offensive. They even asked LTTE for surrender the last minute. Anyway you have to accept that in a war there is going to be collateral damage.

Ammo dumps should be placed where there are very sparse human habitats. Just like Wanni regions.

They should have keep all the army bases in Jaffna and north, north is not stable yet , last year during my vacation i have visited to jaffna and few other places in north. honestly most of the people have no idea about the country and the government. some still believe in LTTE. this is not good thing also during my experience i have realize people in there, they cant stand alone as one unity as one country military and government should help them, peace is there because army is there, but still tamil LTTE supporters are there. removing the military base's and left them alone will not be a good idea and it will risk the entire a north and calling for a chaos, if some one says north having a military control that is a complete false statement. you should have visit and confirmed by yourself. i believe these false statements were published by LTTE supporters.also there are good things, i saw happening in north new shops, medical centers, hospitals ,restaurants and buildings were build, and some schools have been re-opened.and also construction vehicles are moving on the road , true there is some progress in development process but don't know how it is now
