No offence. I voted for JVP in Provincial Election too. I voted for SLFP and UNP too. But JVP has still not given up bankrupt maxist idology and it should embrace mixed capitalist economy. This ia what China and Russia has done.No one is against partial socialism but people are against maxist ideology. No one is denying poor should be helped who are not helped in free market economy.
But state controlled enterprises are making people's life misserable with higher taxes, inefficient ,incompetant people running the show.
Not a single government institution is scot free from courruption. Look at how efficient private enterprises of this country works. They are more competant than state enterprises.
All government assets should be privatised and government debt should be paid off to tha maximum.New enterprises should be created. Sri Lanka needs capital intensive investment, because we lack labour. Simply look at construction industry.
Sri Lanka needs to manufacture more Aircraft,Aircraft engine,Cars, Vans,Buses, Ships,Trains, Fridge, TVs,Phones, Computer Processors locally with license from foreign companies etc.We need investment big time.
