Harsha Says New Flyover Will Have Teething Problems For Two Weeks: "Feeder Roads And Lights Yet To Be Synchronized"
Policy Planning and Economic Affairs Deputy Minister Dr. Harsha de Silva there would be teething problems concerning the Rajagiriya flyover for about two weeks.
"Please bear with us," the Deputy Minister, responding to a comments thread on Facebook over the seemingly increased traffic in the area after the opening of the flyover.
"Still the feeder roads have not been closed and made one way and traffic lights have not been synchronized," the Deputy minister explained.

Guess even after several months its still teething....
teething problems will remain till the teeth rot and fall off i guess..
It takes me a solid 1 hr 45 mins at least to get from Malabe to Colombo 3 if I leave home at 6am.. if i leave any later, it takes even longer.
Even with all the desperate attempts to close all access roads / U turns from Etul Kotte junction to Welikada juncttion to make the flyover project not look like the massive blunder it is, the traffic congestion is as bad as ever. Worse still, the traffic situation from Welikada to Ayurveda Junction has become so bad after the bridge was built. Earlier the traffic used to move relatively better after passing Welikada.
Well done yaha paalanaya... Yet another triumph...
Yet another proud entry for your "Sanwardana News" thread
