Rajagiriya fly over has been effective

Now we see that, Rajagoriya fly-over is effective. (although some people initially said that it is not)
However, since no one has collected data pre-implementation, there is no way of objectively proving this.

I heard that, traffic pattern analysis and intervention has become PhD studies in some countries. In sri Lanka as well, it could have been allocated to a team to study and optimize.

However, we realize that, implementing flyovers are effective, since thhey split the shared space for traffic from two directions

Sometimes yes. Rajagiriya flyover is good but can we say the same with Nugegoda flyover? I heard it's not useful at all. I personally know that Nugegoda has some bitter traffic at office hours.

I think the true solution will be improving public transport and limiting number of vehicles entering to Colombo. Because we have to increase the size of the roads when number of vehicles keeps adding. and parking spaces.

I think the true solution will be improving public transport and limiting number of vehicles entering to Colombo. Because we have to increase the size of the roads when number of vehicles keeps adding. and parking spaces.

I think best option would be scattering the offices and make subs branches all over the country and connected via internet. For example there are lots of people come to Colombo daily for works related to passports. Why government cannot implement at least two branches outside of Colombo may be one in Hambanthota and Vavuniya.

Likewise, it will reduce the need for access Colombo. I honestly believe widening roads and flyovers is not a solution. It won't end. Solution would be reduce the travelling.

Improve the quality of public transportation, Provide more AC buses , Implement Mono rail systems. Government should limit the number of vehicle that enter to Colombo. I Spent 4,5 hrs a day in the freaking road.

However, scattering would be easily done to schools than for offices.
Why the hell, one should travel all the way to Colombo to find a teacher/ go to school.
Scattering of schools would be easily done, if we could implement three large schools in Gampaha, Horana/ Kaluthara, Homagama i believe
