Sri Lanka is a refugee-producing country. Historically, 90% of Sri Lankan asylum seekers arriving by boat in Australia have been found to be refugees. Even in 2012/13, when the number of Sri Lankan boat arrivals reached its peak, a majority of arrivals were found to be refugees.

look at my previous post! i have clearly stated there is a possibility for some limited asylum seekers to reach lanka. its peanuts compared to the amount of lankans seek asylum in other countries

if you read my post clearly you will understand i am saying only few of them are interested in sri lanka. only a stupid person will seek asylum in lanka. i am saying its a better idea for them to seek asylum in another country. why would they come to lanka when lankans are running away from lanka seeking for asylum ?

A better idea or not, the number of Muslims arriving in Sri Lanka requesting refugee status is rapidly rising - don't you think that is a problem we Sri Lankan citizen should talk about? What does that have to do with Sri Lankans seeking asylum in Australia or Canada?
