u don't become a scientist cz u want have a good salary. u become a scientist cz u love the field. if u care about how much u get u should become a businessman. not a scientist.

    Chemists (Pvt) - 60-80k
    Physists/Chemists (Scientific service) - 70k + allowances - fuel/money - permit - OT (45k basic in probation periods without allowances)

No - have a permit too for Physicts (scientific service) in hospitals. They are the people planning cancer patient's treatments. Not doctors. They are experts in medical instruments!

    Please elaborate , what's that permit ?
What about genetic scientists? And what are the chances for charted biologists?

ok I'll be a businessman as well as a scientist. I'll will
be whatever I want. Not the image what others want.
The other thing is I wanna do some new experiments.so I need money for them.I hate begging someone to sponsor for them:dull:

Sadly, Genetic scientist and Biologist have a low chance of getting a job in Sri Lanka. But if you are an Chemistry, hemistry ,Physics or Geology have a better chance. But high demanded jobs and you need to have a special degree with 2nd upper-class minimum.

    Excellent.

Enter Japura Uni or Pera for Biological Science degree. Choose chemistry or physics as the main subject. Then complete the degree with a 1st or 2nd upper class. You have a better chance to get a scholarship for PhD from Aus/USA/Europe. If you don't like to study abroad, then apply for above jobs if the vacancies are posted.

(But if you have a USA Ph.D. degree you can get a lecturer job in a Sri Lankan university easily. (for Aus/Europe/Japan, it is harder :) ). You can do consultancy job in pvt sectors in SL if you have a PhD with few research articles about Polymer/Nano/Textile/Rubber

Select maths physics at the science faculties
