It's important not to create an unnecessary panic situation.
However, on the other hand, you could risk the national security.
I believe, it's important to find the optimum balance between these two.
Currently, we have an example of a failed situation.
Many people believe that ensuring national security is important even at the expense of few panic situations.
    (Right to Information !!! lol)

The solution of GOSL for all this is blocking social media and not disclosing any information to the public on whats going on ( Nobody knows about the number of bombs captured during the last few days)
Right to information is very critical in the internet age, people are very curious on knowing whats happening out there, the more the government try to hide information from the public they will spread through different media in a flash soon as something leaks.
Unnecessary panic is directly related to the literacy level of a country. Therefore controlling information & panic has to be done in a very unconventional way in this part of the world.
