    To add to your observations... In no other country people will foolishly vote first to change a constitution without knowing what it is going to be. The draft change proposals must be made public first, then seek for a mandate. We should surely rank as the No#1 foolish country in the world. :P

    dude if u really want to compare constitutions at least start with a smaller country with a similar population.i believe almost all the states in usa are bigger than our country itself.i laughed my ass off seeing this.

    SL badly need a new Constitution
    We have a fairly good constitution but we need better legislators and president. Even the beast constitution can be implemented badly eg. Trump, Boris(UK does not have a written constitution but there are some key legislations such as Human Rights Act etc), Modi A fairly good constitution can be implemented by good people such as DS, Nehru,

    Ever since permanent secretaries were removed SL was going backward
    No one wants to bring them back but 19th has really good once like the national audit commission, judiciary independency and Police
    Again the problem is those who are at the helm have political affiliations so people are led to believe it's the commission when in fact problem lies somewhere else

    Again the problem is those who are at the helm have political affiliations so people are led to believe it's the commission when in fact problem lies somewhere else
    Ever since that stupid Sirimavo government abolished PSC the entire administration went to the dogs. That led to total the collapse of the system. I had written details in a very old post.
