why do people do yoga? specially women? if they go to gym I understand! but why yoga?

I think in situations where a lady has a perfectly shaped average figure, they tends to do yoga instead of gym workouts. Same with nayanathara I guess

but women do cadio all the time! no matter what shape they have and how thin they are, i ve seen they do cadio at gym. at home ..etc and I also have seen they do sumba workout. each those workouts help to burn calories, fat..etc you know.. we can see it clearly. they burn energy. but here in Yoga, I don't know what they expect from it! it's kinda relaxing dance or something i guess perhaps people do this just because of it's popularity.. i don't know i'm not sure I'm just saying
