Following the recent announcement that the new Dune trailer will debut as part of an exclusive IMAX preview, we have a stunning new poster for Denis Villeneuve’s highly-anticipated sci-fi adaptation.
Warner Bros. recently revealed that the new trailer for Denis Villeneuve's Dune is coming exclusively to IMAX on July 21 and 22, and we now have a lovely new IMAX poster to accompany the announcement.
In addition, the MPAA has officially rated the movie PG-13 for “sequences of strong violence, disturbing images and suggestive material”. We're also hearing that the run-time is 2 hours, 35 minutes.
We found out that the sci-fi adaptation had been pushed back from October 1 to October 22 last month. The movie is still set to debut simultaneously in theatres and on HBO Max, and we recently got confirmation that it will have its out-of-competition world premiere on Friday, September 3 at the Toronto International Film Festival.
For those unfamiliar with the source material, Dune follows the Atreides family as they relocate to the desolate planet of Arrakis to assume control of the production of the most valuable resource in the galaxy, the Spice Melange. Unfortunately, an act of treachery soon makes an outcast of The Duke Atreides' youngest son Paul, and he must accept his destiny as a powerful prophet of the Arrakis natives known as The Fremen.
