WHO Director General commends Sri Lanka for being able to meet vaccination target
The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has commended Sri Lanka for managing to vaccinate over 3 million persons in the last 7 days.
Ghebreyesus has also pointed out that Sri Lanka will be able to fully vaccinate 10% of its population ahead of the target set, in September.
The Director-General of WHO has also thanked the Government and people of for their efforts, and continued vigilance on proven public health and social measures to suppress the virus.
