Anyone bought LGA 2011 motherboard and made PC? how is the performance compare to Intel I5 6th gen or later?

I bought X99 motherboard with LGA2100 socket, I can buy 8 Core 16 thread CPU around USD25 and DDR4 ram around USD30. but would like to know the performance with something like I5 8gen CPU and Mobo.
