I have fx accounts in Sampath, Commercial and HNB. And HNB has been the better one by far while the Sampath is easily at the bottom in service quality as per my experience in terms of fx matters. I am not referring to this new rule which is clearly applicable to all banks. If you deposit larger sum at HNB, they may get you under special customer category called inner circle or something that has added benefits like free credit card, lower rate loans, separate queue less counter at the bank, etc. And I opened an SDA account as well without any issue. BTW I dont work for HNB nor a shareholder of HNB

මෙතැන හැමෝම කියන්නෙ HNB, BOC වගේ බැංකු වල ට්රයි කරන්න කියල. මුං මොනව කිව්වත් ඒවගෙ එහෙම වෙන්නෙ නෑ කියල ඔය කියන්නෙ. ඔය පත්තර, ගැසට්, ලිපි වල තියෙන ඒව නෙමෙයි මේව ප්රැක්ටිකල් ඒක්ස්පීරියන්ස්. හැම මාසෙකම සල්ලි ගෙන්නන එවුන් තමයි මෙච්චර මේ කියන්නෙ. උඹට ඒක පිළිගන්න බැරි නම් ඔය ගැසට් ටිකයි, පත්තර ටිකයි බදාගෙන සම්පත් බැංකුවට පු# දි දී රුපියල් ගෙන්නපං අපිට මොකද. අනිත් එක මම සම්පත් එකට පුප දෙන එවුන් කියල එකෙක්ව කෝට් කරාම උඹ ට්රිගර් උනේ මොකෝ
