Well I've been duped by people I voted for, that much is true; however that doesn't mean the previous regime was any better because they introduced a progressive act. Both Yahapalana and Pohottu politicians have proven their incompetence over and over again

Also name a one progressive act by this government ? Despite having the presidency, pri-minister , 2/3 rds, 20th amendment.

Prove me wrong and I will be glad to be proven wrong. Machan the mentality of the people needs to be changed before you develop a country. Countries like SG didn't change over night, it took decades. But we only see what it is right now rather than the journey it took to be what it is right now.

In SL governments are formed from votes based on what you can get for free and not policies. And till that happens this country will be the shit hole it is right now.

Not really, I mean when the war was afoot politicians were promising peace - back in 2010 MR and his party won by a landslide because he delivered on that promise. He was ousted in 2015 because he failed to deliver on his promises on economy, allegedly because of his corruption - so people naturally voted for ones who promised to end govt corruption - they were ousted in 2019 because they failed to deliver on that promise.

What we need is choice - a party of competent people led by a competent politician

This is true and people lost the faith in the opposition more than MR. Also bloated public service is caused by the blue parties .Following government institutions were making profits when they were given on 1994 just a few.
