Crypto is not bad, but way too volatile. Same risk is there as much as in stocks.

So true.. You have to know your fundamentals to invest in CSE.
I told him to buy USDT. That's what I meant by Crypto.

A good investor should also know that USDT is not a great stable coin for long term holding. Fine for short-term. Tether is having multiple issues with transparency and auditability of their USD allocations.
I`d try to convert USDT to USDC OR BUSD (both well audited and reputed)
Yes BUSD and USDC are much better, and also my suggestions are based upon Lankan economic crisis. If its longterm I would suggest different ideas.
