VFS visa photo size

I'm trying to apply Visa for Japan.

In the passport form it shows that the photo should be 45mm ×45mm or 2in × 2in

But in the checklist and 'photo specifications' tab it says the photo should be of size 2 inch X 1.4 inch

I called the embassy and a lady mentioned that it is 2 inch X 1.4 inch. When I asked whether that form is the latest, she said that they'd need to update it, and hang up the phone.

I checked few YouTube videos and they all mentioned that the new size is 2 x 2

Now I'm confused.

Take the photos from VFS , When u take photos to there they will say something and ask to get photos from thier inhouse studio , so dont waste time checking these just take it from there
