For a guy...yes. For a woman...doesn't really matter either way.
A lady can find someone to lose her virginity with just a flick of her hand. A man has to put some effort to not be percieved as a loser- even then there's no guarantee you'll get laid sometimes. For women it comes down to a matter of choice whereas for men it's opportunity. A man denouncing sex is like a pauper subscribing to minimalistic living. It doesn't mean anything.
(okay, there're men for whom it's a choice as well. But those are fukbois, personalities, male celebrities etc. I was talking about the average male)
