The Witcher Season 4 To Replace Henry Cavill With Liam Hemsworth

Henry Cavill, the current star of Netflix's The Witcher, shared his first comments on news of the actor being recast in Season 4. Cavill's comments followed Netflix's surprise announcement that Liam Hemsworth would be replacing Cavill as Geralt of Rivia and said that he'd be laying down his swords for Season 4. Hemsworth himself shared a post about the topic wherein he said he was "over the moon" to be able to take on a role like this one.

Cavill and Hemsworth shared their comments about The Witcher and Season 4 at the same time on Instagram. In Cavill's post, he confirmed the news of the recasting and said he looked forward to seeing what Hemsworth did with the role.

The Witcher Netflix Writers Allegedly Hated the Books and Games

The Witcher franchise may have quite a legion of fans between the games, books, and TV series, but it seems like the writers of The Witcher Tv series on Netflix are not among them. X-Men ’97 writer Beau DeMayo described the importance of making a show with people who “respect the work”, claiming that some of The Witcher writers hate the books from Andrzej Sapkowski and CD Projekt Red’s games and this created an atmosphere and “bad morale” on the Netflix show.

DeMayo used to work on The Witcher Netflix series, although he has since moved on to write X-Men ’97 for Disney+. Speaking to The Direct, he explained how he made sure that his new team was filled only with fans of the source material because of prior experiences on The Witcher where the Netflix series’ writers threw hate towards the books and games:

"My general rule was you HAD to be a fan. No questions. I’ve been on show – namely Witcher – where some of the writers were not or actively disliked the books and games (even actively mocking the source material.) It’s a recipe for disaster and bad morale. Fandom as a litmus test checks egos and makes all the long nights worth it. You have to respect the work before you’re allowed to add to its legacy"

Yeap very true. Rock actually did it. Henry is the superman among DC fans. Zaslav needs good quality movies with fans favourites.

Rock did it. afaik Rock's manager is the one who manages Henry as well.
But I'm bit skeptical about the Rock yet, I've a feeling that rock is trying to make dc is his universe.
maybe his seven bucks productions wants to get all the money from dc.

however, it's delight to see the Henry again in the red cape.
since that will be MOS 2, do you guys think Zack Snyder would come back to direct?
