First whether it is 'crime ' or not cannot be decided by bloggers and you tubers and it is a matter for the court to decide if criminal charges are brought. I do feel for the child but as I said this is due to free health service from OPD to Open Heart Surgery or even more complex ones ! So people flock to govt hospitals and they are overloaded with work. But due to their dedication they tirelessly work and try to give treatment to all in shortest possible time , which has limitations.
secondly You cannot force any body to try different medical system. The customer is the king ! So patient decides. I am happy if opd s are cleared with lesser number of patients so that hospital staff can deal more serious cases.
thirdly, I am not a champion for pvt hospitals but if you can afford and same doctor is available just go there to reduce the workload. Though this is not an option this will at least ease some workload.
As I said the option is to have a longer waiting time like NHS in UK . In US if you are not insured no treatment (Obamacare is excluded). In this case there were three hole in the heart surgeries that day in the same theatre and may be from same staff?, which is too much to non medical person like me . Maximum two , even then with change of staff. We are not machines and complex issues can arise in these type of cases.
When I said this is 'common ' in other govt places, I meant places such as Police , Schools, Courts etc. They are all overcrowded with less resources, and many deserving cases are missed in the sheer overload of work.
This is not Western or Eastern Medical Treatment choice , Patient had decided it !
It is time to discuss these issues in public and try to find solutions , we may find 'indigenous' solution.
