I'll likely get a DDPAI capacitor one from Aliexpress (free shipping still available) if I can't find a capacitor one in SL

Supercaps sound great in theory, but I’ve seen consumer electronics die from brownouts. If the DDPAI can handle brownouts properly and shuts off before the voltage gets critical, it could work well.
I almost went for a supercap to power an ESP32 myself, but I decided to keep things simple at the end.

Edit - no argument about safety. SC is definitely safer than Li-ion batteries.
