ඔය සෞඛ්ය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ අලුත් regulations . Food (Labelling and Advertising) Regulations 2026 and shall come into operation on July 1, 2026. These regulations shall not apply to food products manufactured before July 1, 2026.
එකේ හැටියට flavor enhancer හරි sweeteners දාන හැම එකටම Not recommend for children under 3 years of age කියල දාන්න ඕනේ. ඕක දාන්නේ 1.5 mm font size එකෙන්. Supermarket එකට ගිහිල්ලා බලන්න drinks, කෑම වර්ග ගොඩක ඕක ingredients panel එකේ චූටි අකුරෙන් ගහලා තියෙනවා. ගොඩක් උන් ඒක බලන්නේ නැති නිසා note වෙන්නේ නෑ. මුන් ලොකු අකුරෙන් ඒක විතරක් ගහලා නිසා හැමෝම කලබල වෙලා තියෙන්නේ.
(3) (a) Where permitted sweetener(s) are added to a food product, there shall be separate statements written
on the label, in bold type in a minimum font size of 1.5 mm, as follows:
(i) “Contains permitted sweeteners “X” and “Y”” and substituting for the letters “X” and “Y” the
names of any permitted sweeteners used; and
(ii) “Not recommended for children under three years of age”.
(4) Where flavour enhancer(s) are added to a food product, there shall be separate statements written on the
label in a minimum font size of 1.5 mm, as follows:
(a) “flavour enhancers “X” and “Y” used” and substituting for the letters “X” and “Y” the names and
the INS Numbers of any permitted flavour enhancer(s) added; and (b) “Not recommended for children under three years of age”.
