Regarding Point No. 1, why the hell should the person have to produce a TIN validation document in the first place? Can't this be handled through an existing verification mechanism, just like insurance and emission test validation? All the IRD needs to do is expose the TIN verification service through an Web service and let the relevant government departments validate it directly. That's it! Why make citizens run around collecting yet another pointless document when a simple system to system integration would solve the problem? This is just ridiculous and unnecessarily stupid..
