My dear friend you are blind.....Go check

It happened many times, but FM-UOC was last close in 1989. Another riot from JVP? They are dead and buried as a movement now.

Don't be so sure about it...need evidence my aunt was a student there

Oh relly? I have passed final of the UOC exam with a 2nd upper class. And now I am doing my post-graduate in Clinical Medicine. Is that enough for you?

ok congradulations..and good work we need people like you to our country stay here and give something back to the country.

ROFLMAO. I qualified for in 1997 with London AL's with a mark eligible for any British University. Asia's 5th and world wide 17th. Now weep and pee a little. BTW, I was 11th in the island ranking from A/L as well. Then I decided to save 8M rupees for my parents and entered UOC.

Now no qulification is eligible for more than 5yrs...were a bright student i see

But the problem you don't see is...you passed A/L's with coloures. you enterd uni.You became a good docter>>>

    but what about others.............
Passing the exam means Eligible for entering the university.

    BUT THERE'S NO ROOM

according to you all the others are DUMB.

If you are a smart guy who loves your country

PLZ dont go aginst these things...becoz you got values.then let others share it tooo

i agree, but if it's fault of the teacher who awards marks at the A/L exam it's not that good for the student, but today there are a lot of doctors who have got high marks in their Phd and still kill innocent people, a lot of people think of prestige but if something happen the results are not only bad foe the doctor but for the whole medical field......

    Dude, You are confused... :baffled:

Was that our discussion? Go through once more what you have said and recapitulate. Here what you have said.

Hmmm.....Go check top 50 Universities recognized as best..
Until another JVP riot comes dont be so sure about it.....
Oh really I would like to see you try..........
I bet, You won't even pass the entrance exam of the HARWARD....

Now you challenged my point that Lankan Medical degree is suerior to a lot of foreign degrees. Then you sarcastically challenged my qualifications, and you got dumbfounded when I posted them. Now you change the tracks, and start monging around. Talk to the point, and that is a abosolute necessity to be sucessful in local universities as a medical student.

it's oky to have a engineering degree or a MSC by a forign universiaty.

Look at me , I failed to enter to the MPR @UoM then I'm doing BIT , anyway
I still continuing the drams to be an engineer. But for a doctor the story is
different. Because they playing with the human lives.

No forign uni student doctors should not give doctor jobs in sri lanka. This is not
    good.

In the field of medicine there is a difference. See how much difficult to get a medical degree inside sri lanka ? It's harder than any other degree . So I think this is not good . Doctors should have that skill level before they playing the human body.
Itz nt fare bro!!thats why there are standards for uni..For me I couldn't enter medical faculty from 0.02 z-score & ma Island rank is also well below 800(which arnd 1200 students are taken to medical faculty)..Bt i gt dental..Bt ppl who hv really low zscore go to medical faculty..So watz ur opinion abt dat??Da thing is if u cn Itz good to do medicine bcoz itz wat i always wnted...& if u r scared abt da ppl who r doing foreign MBBS. Datz why there is Act16 & internship (more 2years) before issuing da license. In oder to make sure that they hv the standard same as SL Doctors..!!
More thn 300 students go abroad for medicine!!dat means around more than 3000 milion rupees are gone out per year..So if u cn open a uni wth proper standards which is standardized by sl Medical council in SL & save those money..itz nt da only thing if u are opening a private uni u should hv a Hospital wth every aspects..So automatically a New hospital formed..Othr jobs as lectures, dorm apartments..There are so many advantages bro!!(bt always should be standardized )
to mention Sl is the one rearrest countries which doesn't hv private medical faculties..!

How? UOC offers a MBBS which is par with any leading university in the world. 95% of other foeign universities offer a degree lesser in quality than UOC.

Ranking the universities is a complexed procedure. It has a formal methodology. But I bet, and agree with WAL BADA it's true my friend. Just inquire and ask somebody who specialized in this field. He will explain you, y that so

When was medical faculties of Colombo, Pera, Ragama, SJP and Jaffna closed due to pickets, riots or what so ever cause? Never in last 5 years. Medical students are smart enough not to be pawns of JVP. They'll do the politics, but they won't let the university close.

Until another JVP riot comes dont be so sure about it.....

Please dude, mind thinking twice before u post something.

POLITICS Hmmmm.....If few people had thought more before done those thing..we wont be disscussing this....

Any ass with quarter a brain can pass Act 16 exam. If there's going to be a PMC some day, let all the medical students (GMCs and PMCs) face the same examinations

Oh really I would like to see you try..........

You know, Most of these so called Foreign Medical Graduates Struggling to get through this exam.. Keep this in your BRILLIANT mind

Yes because they just dont offer there world recognized valuable degree for nothing...I know the harward procedure....At last there a TEST a test that difficult than anyother test inthis world.I dont remember the name even..one has to face individually and its vocal

You are sadly mistaken about exams. Even Harvard or Oxford papers are like pieces of cake for us. Let them have a MCQ of UOC-FM. They'll pass shit on their pants.

I bet, You won't even pass the entrance exam of the HARWARD....

    Soo... Silly.. :P

After trying it we'll talk..YES Silly;)

How old are you? Must be around 18. There was a PMC called North Colombo Medical School (which was absorbed in to government sector to be affiliated to university of Kelaniya). There were students who have failed all four subjects in A/Ls. It has ahppened once, and can very well happen once more.

Free higher education is not for everyone..so let our country open to the world education. Then we'll know about what we don't know......

    No doubt about that :baffled:
