well if it was a regular bollywood type the smuggler should be shot and still survive. further he get married to the journelist and give up smuggling and live good.

yeah true then i wouldn't have remembered this movie as a good one.

honestly i was disapointed with the ending. .i dont recall it much anymore. but i remember feeling like that the ending didnt stand up to the suspense the rest had created.

departed was much better than blood diamond. and ive heard it's original asian version, internal affairs, was evenly good..haven't seen it though.
