Guys i need some quick help. I'm assembling a new PC, here are the specs
Intel Quad Core 2.33GHz Processor
2GB 800MHz DDR2 RAM
250GB SATA HDD
SATA DVD Writer

The next two components are my dilemma
VGA - i found 2 & i need to know which is worth
Foxconn 9800GT 512MB = Rs.15,750
inno3D 9600GT 1GB = Rs.16,500

Motherboard - I was looking for a G45/G35 chipset board for
about 15k.
Found this as well
Intel DG43NB = Rs.12,500
I don't know if the G31 and G33 are good, so i'd be glad if someone could recommend a good board for me.

Please help me ASAP guys coz i need to buy it soon
Thanx

First of all, Throw in another 2GB of ram so all together 4GB
For the VGA Grab Foxconn 9800GT 512MB ,
and Foxconn Mars is a good mobo, it was available at Barclays

    P.S : Don't buy stuff like motherboards from eBay .. k

if u looking for a fast processor and don't care about power consumption go 4 AMD Phenom II X4 965 (Black Edition) lot cheaper than intel core i7 processor but performance wise comparable. AMD mother boards are cheaper as well.

If u care about environment and money isn't issue go with intel core i7.

Get the 9800GT and maxout the RAM to 4GB and i think that a G31 can run the Quad Core 2.33GHz Processor

well the motherboard you mentioned has onboard VGA. try to get P35/P45 M/B at least. it would benefit you later. intel DP35DP is a good M/B or try ASUS one. it would cost you little bit more but worth buying it.

Thanks a lot for the advice guys. I bought a motherboard a few days back but i couldn't update it here coz during the weekdays i don't have access to the net :-(

Anyways i got the Foxconn SONATA M/B from nunet for 18,500

    here's the link
    http://translate.google.com/transla...d.php?tid=20918&sl=auto&tl=en&history_state0=

It's a new P45 chipset, so couldn't find any reviews. Tell me what you think about the board guys.

The VGA still is a small problem bcz the earlier ones i posted were not available the day i went to buy them.

But the good side is that i called E-Globe Solutions today and got these prices.
    XFX GeForce 9800GT 512MB - 16,500
    GTS250 1GB - 22,500
    ATi Radeon HD4850 1GB - 19,000

So i need this last help too bros. Which one shud i get out of these?

Thanx a lot again for the help
    Elakiri is the best:)

Guys i went to EGS today and ordered an ASUS GTS 250 512MB card it was 22,500. There was an XFX GTS 250 1GB card as well for the same price. I went for ASUS since they give 3years warranty and that comes really in handy when your cards stops working suddenly after 2years (it happened to me once)

I could change my card by calling them again, so i need to verify from the experts which one is better. I need an answer from the experts ASAP coz i have to call them tomorrow.

    Thanks loads
    Please reply soon

Well guys still no news of confirmation :-(
I'm gonna wait maybe another hour & then call.

I still couldn't decide whether to buy the XFX one or not. I was waiting for a nice informative reply with all the pros and cons from our tech gurus, but i guess they haven't seen this yet:no:

4850 1GB and the GTS250 1GB more or less give you the same level of performance , So it all boils down to the stuff like the cooler they are using and of course the overclock-ability of the cards and also the personal preference , May I know what your monitor is ?
Anyways the GTS 250 has a slight advantage over the 4850 when it comes to Power usage. So either 4850 or GTS250, the choice is yours, BTW, spending 6K over the 9800GT is Bullsh*t

What about the 4870 pricing ?
