what's the sound card you got ?

onboard one. soundmax. and one more thing, my fedora is not booting up because of a disk error. i tried to fix it with fsck but had no luck. so would this be a problem when installing a new one?

soundmax is the chipset. i can't remember the disk error man. i'll put it tomorrow.. feel so sleepy now thanks for your help

If your VGA is using an NVidia chipset, then you'll find that installing NVidia proprietary driver makes your desktop respond a lot faster and smoother than the default open source driver. This is especially so if you have compiz enabled and has the desktop effects.
Installing the NVidia drivers is very easy with Hanthana as it has the RPM Fusion repositories enabled.
To install the Nvidia drivers:
Open up a command terminal,
Change to root user with :

su root

Enter your root password and get the root prompt.
After that run :

yum install kmod-nvidia

This one package pulls in all the necessary packages needed to run the nvidia driver and will install them all.
After that reboot the PC and it'll load the NVidia drivers and you'll see a major performance boost in the graphics.

Its very good and extremely stable. Got good hardware support and boots super fast (compared to other distros / OSes I have tried.

looks like you got a bad disk.
Reboot the pc with a live cd and run fschk off that.

whatz dat command? fschk or fsck? what should i do? do i have to give any parameters?
