Shah Rukh to host a party for Jermaine Jackson
It is a well-known fact that Shah Rukh Khan is a huge fan of Michael Jackson. He claims to have cried when he heard about the demise of the late popstar. Hence SRK has decided to ensure Jermaine Jackson (Micheal's brother) has a gala time till the time he is in town. King Khan will be hosting a party for on Wednesday, October 14 at his residence, Mannat in his honour.
A friend of SRK confirms the news. He says, “When SRK learnt that Jermaine is in town, he got in touch with him and invited him over. SRK has personally invited all his friends from the film industry.” SRK is very keen to speak to Jermaine about the late Michael.
Some of the guests expected at the party are Farah Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Imran Khan, Arjun Rampal, Priyanka Chopra, Chunky and Bhavna Pandey, Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, Preity

SRK in mafia flick Xtreme City
Hollywood legendary screenplay writer Paul Schrader is making an English flick with Mumbai’s mafia world as its backdrop and SRK has given his nod for starring in the flick.
Schrader who has written Taxi Driver and American Gigolo, has collaborated with Mushtaq Sheikh and Anubhav Sinha,to make the mafia flick titled Xtreme City, and is going to be made with a budget of USD 10 million.
Xtreme City will be an out and out action flick and will be set in “brutal, impenetrable, criminal orbit of Mumbai”.
Schrader who has written Taxi Driver and American Gigolo, has collaborated with Mushtaq Sheikh and Anubhav Sinha,to make the mafia flick titled Xtreme City, and is going to be made with a budget of USD 10 million.
Schrader recently said, “Spending time in India and working with a Bollywood talent like Shiekh has inspired and excited me to make a film accessible and meaningful to both Indian and American cultures.”
SRK has given his nod for the flick, as Mushtaq is a close friend, who has done screenplays for his flick Om Shanti Om, Billu and the under production Ra-1.
Xtreme City will be an out and out action flick and will be set in “brutal, impenetrable, criminal orbit of Mumbai”.

Kareena-Shahid refuses to work more for Milenge Milenge
Producer Boney Kapoor and director Satish Kaushik trying to complete their five year pending project Milenge Milenge. And now as they have recorded two new songs for the film, the lead pair of the film Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor is not willing to work together any more after their much publicized break up. The songs are composed by Himesh Reshammiya.
A source close to Bebo said, “Kareena is more than happy to extend all cooperation to producer Boney Kapoor and director Satish Kaushik, but she won’t shoot an extra songs for the film. Shahid is a closed chapter.”
Will the actors come together for film’s promotion? Kareena, Shahid will not come together for the film’s publicity. Meanwhile a music video on song recorded by Himesh was planed to promote the film, but as the actors have refused to work jointly the filmmakers will use the footage.

Hussain to direct Madhuri and Amrita together

Maqbool Fida Hussain, the renowned painter of India has already done number of paintings of Madhuri Dixit and Amrita Rao separately. But this time he wants to paint them together on a one canvas. Moreover he wants to make a film with the two actresses in leads.
Talking about the painting, Hussain said, “I do a lot of combination paintings. I have started working on the Madhuri and Amrita painting. It should be ready in a month’s time.” Further he added that the paining is incomplete unless he makes a film on it.
Earlier he made films like Gaja Gamini (2000) and Meenaxi (2004) starring Madhuri Dixit and Tabbu in lead roles. So whether this time he will go for a commercial film? “No. I don’t want anybody to dictate what I have to make,” said the master.
One source revealed, “Hussain has even asked Madhuri and Amrita to visit him during Diwali this year to discuss the logistics of the film.”

On 25th of June 2009 the world lost one of its greatest entertainers – Michael Jackson, an everlasting icon of a human being. In a bid to pay a fitting tribute, Shah Rukh Khan has roped in the top stars of Bollywood to produce a music video. Names like Shahid Kapoor to Vishal-Shekhar are involved while some of the best singers in the industry – Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan, KK and Shreya Ghoshal have consented to lend their voices to the project.
The plan is to launch the music video titled ‘Make it Large – A tribute to Michael Jackson’ on Jackson’s 51st birthday on the 29th of August 2009.
‘For the moment, the idea is to launch the music video across all music channels just for one day. It is available on Red Chillies Entertainment website though,’ said Vishal who is also wrote the lyrics for the songs and is currently holidaying in London.
Aug. 29th ‘09 onwards, free download of the song will also be allowed by Vishal and Shekhar on their website.
‘Make it Large – A tribute to Michael Jackson’ is being directed by Samar Khan and features personal testimonials on Michael Jackson by Shah Rukh Khan himself as well as Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra and Yuvraj Singh.
Making the video extra special is Prabhu Deva at his dancing best for his mentor.

Keeping up his swipes at superstar Shah Rukh Khan and the No.1 slot in Bollywood, Aamir Khan, riding on the super success of his revenge drama ‘Ghajini’, has said he never thought Shah Rukh was ever on the top pedestal at all.

He also said Oscar-winning ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ failed to “touch” him.
Aamir, during CNN’s special edition of ‘Talk Asia’, was asked how he feels about being termed the new ‘King Khan’ after the success of ‘Ghajini’. He replied: “I had absolutely no intention of kicking Shah Rukh off his pedestal. Though I have to say, I don’t think he ever was on it.”
Elaborating, Aamir said: “In my opinion, the actor who I really look up to is Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. He is someone whose work I really like, a fantastic actor and the kind of stardom Mr. Bachchan has seen, none of us can ever hope to see.”
The 44-year-old actor, whose latest work, the Hindi remake of Tamil film ‘Ghajini‘, was a success at the box office, says he feels satisfied with his films only if they turn out to be as they are intended.
“You can never really tell until you see a film with the audience. How it is going to play with the audience. For me, what is important is that when I see the film once it is ready, has it turned out the way we wanted it to? If we have done that, then that makes me feel happy,” he said.
Aamir, whose own directorial debut film ‘Taare Zameen Par‘, failed to get nominated in the foreign film category at the 81st Annual Academy Awards this year, says that ‘Slumdog Millionaire‘ failed to “touch” him.
“I thought the movie was well intended. It was a very sincere attempt, but it didn’t touch me personally, and I suspect it because I’m not used to watching Indians speak English, all these slum kids talking in English… it’s strange,” said Aamir.
This episode of ‘Talk Asia’ will be aired on March 25, 2009 at 6 p.m. on CNN.

Aishwarya Rai upset on Priyanka Chopra
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is a bit upset with fellow actor Priyanka Chopra, when she in her winning speech regarded Ash as beautiful but did not mention anything about her acting talent.
Priyanka, who won the Filmfare Best Actress award for Fashion said that she was very happy to be nominated (Fashion, Dostana) among the likes of beautiful Aishwarya Rai (Jodhaa Akbar) and the talented Kajol (U, Me Aur Hum).
Reports suggest that Priyanka’s statement did not go well with Ash, who is a winner of many national and international awards.
Priyanka is currenlty riding high on the success of Fashion and Dostana. The actress will soon be seen in Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminay opposite Shahid Kapur.
