a long time ago 100% of the people believed that the earth was flat. Truth is not measured by mass appeal. If that were the case 'hit me baby one more time' by Britney Spears would be considered the epitome of human aesthetic expression, and not something like 'An Ode to Joy' or the Mona Lisa.

Not just majority but almost 100 per cent of world population believed that the earth was the center of the universe at some stage.

Even Copernicus believed in astrology.

My point is simple. Just because they are scientists, it does not mean that they are free of foolish beliefs.

Scientists have done great service to mankind. But they also sometimes have very very foolish beliefs.

Your article is misleading. There are only 26 Nobel Award winning scientists there. Also this article quite liberally and falsely call people like Hume and mills theists. Hume was almost killed by the Scottish church for being an infidel. And Mills was an agnostic at best. you are giving the name of only two scientist, if you are true then give complete detail for all articles mentioned scientist....you can search ....more the einstein have the concept of God ...whether it's not match with scripture..they are not aheist..we are only talking about the scientist who have the concept of God, as you are exposing and denieding the whole two articles....it is the fact the atheist scientist are not more than 10 % of the whole scientist contribution to the modern world of science...may be you prove more than this by adding darwin like peoples as scientist....

There are several Gods. Two of them are the Christian God and the Muslim God.

The Christian God says, OK. It is good to take liquor/wine. But the Muslim God says it is haram. Both Gods cannot be correct.

1 - either the man want to know the reality and if he met with the reality he accept..
2 - second purpose is just to make fool, criticize and abuse...what ever fact given his aim is only to refute....these type of peoples only waste the time and never can be guided to right and should not be answered

I have a long list of scientists who did not believe in God.

Richard Dawkins is a world recognized scientist (biologist). He is living at present. He has written several books.

In all the books, he says, belief in God is foolishness.

Actually, his latest book is named 'The God Delusion'.

what dawkin has the contribution to the modern science ....only exposing the God with personal silly assumptions...

our discussion was on famous scientist of past and present who has major contribution to science .....

No. I never said scientists are 'ignorant foolish and silly ..... and we are more intelligent'.

It is actually other way about. We are 'ignorant foolish and silly' and scientists are 'more intelligent', to use your own words.

My point is, many scientists are 'ignorant foolish and silly' and we are 'more intelligent' when it comes to the belief in God/Allah/Yehovah or whatever you call that imaginary fellow.
