if any1 residing, or any1 try to make calls to parents or relatives by using skype phone in dubai? i heard that those features are disabled in uae? can we use skype in uae? how can i?

nopes all type of VoIP is banned in UAE !!

well im not exactly sure but I think here are ways of hacking it.. but its illegal !! u'd probably be fined close to 1000 dirhms if caught..

but voice on Yahoo, MSN, Gmail etc messenger work perfectly !!

I don’t know about rules in UAE, but if Yahoo works as fumez says, then you can use that instead. Coz Yahoo also provide the option to call normal telephone numbers (VOIP) just like Skype. But rates might be a little bit higher.

probably if you get it from another source machan..

cos browser directed anything relating to VoIP gives...

never bothered to find an alternative.. just used MSN
