UNP claims key government allies to join opposition

The main opposition UNP claimed that several political parties which are allies of the government are currently having discussions with the UNP in order to join the common opposition alliance. UNP MP for the Kurunegala District Dayasiri Jayasekera told a news conference today that an “unexpected political twist” will take place shortly.
