The terms 32-bit and 64-bit refer to the way a computer's processor (also called a CPU), handles information. The 64-bit version of Windows handles large amounts of random access memory (RAM) more effectively than a 32-bit system.

it is all about the processer(CPU)

check where your computer is 32bit or 64 bit other wise you will get a problem

Wait its not simple as that! :P 32Bit and 64Bit are two types of ways that a processor handles numbers. Processors only understand binary values (numbers in base 2)

32bit processors have less precision in numbers than 64bit processors, thats what changes so the maximum access to large RAM increases but that can be done in 32bit systems too
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/lib...px#physical_memory_limits_windows_server_2003

that's Windows Server 2003's memory access limits. Anyway if you don't want that much precision you better stick with 32bit..64bit is for those who need higher precision it takes more RAM too thats why 64bit OSes normally access more RAM than 32bit ones.
Hope you got it i explained in the simplest way i can :P

If u have more than 4GB of Ram go with 64 bit.
else Stay with 32 bit ;)

there is no difference in options in 32 bit and 64 bit versions of windows 7. (But the architecture is different)
