The UNP alleges that the government has issued orders to UDA to remove all roadside cutouts and banners that carry the picture of Chief of Defense Staff General Sarath Fonseka.
Speaking to Daily Mirror Online this evening, UNP MP John Amaratunge stated that he received this information from reliable sources and that the cutouts and banners may be removed late this evening.
However when contacted, Western Province Director of the UDA Prasanna Wijetunge stated that the UDA had received no such order.
